| My grandfather taught me to paint when I was ten and I have painted ever since. I love painting the tidal marsh where I live in Ipswich, trying to catch the changing tides, the gold's of autumn, the ice of winter, the broad cloud shadows, and the sweep of sky from horizon to horizon. I love trying to catch the magic of water wherever I go; oceans, lakes, and rivers. Sometimes I paint standing waist deep or moored offshore in a canoe and the waves do wonders to help loosen up the work. |
